Picking a high school is a really big deal since it can change how your whole future turns out. There are so many schools to choose from, and you have to think hard about which one fits you best - like what you want to learn and what you're into. I'm gonna talk about why I want to go to this high school. I will argue that a school offers a unique combination of academic excellence, extracurricular opportunities, and a supportive community that will help me achieve my goals and prepare me for success in the future. The question, "Why do you want to attend this high school?" made me think a lot about my future. I really want to go to Roosevelt High School because it feels like the right place for me. I know I haven't always been the best student, but I'm working hard to change that, and Roosevelt seems like a school that could help me. When I visited Roosevelt, I saw how friendly everyone was and how the teachers actually cared about helping students learn. This school has everything I need to do better in my studies and prepare for my future.

The reason I want to go to Roosevelt High School is because I know it will help me become a better student. I like that they have small classes - like about 20 kids in each one. That's really important for me because I sometimes need extra help understanding things. My parents are divorced, so I have to split my time between both of them, and it's been kind of hard to keep up with school sometimes. If I get into Roosevelt, it would be great because it's closer to my mom's house, so she wouldn't have to work such long hours to drive me to school. That means she could help me more with my homework too!

I have never been a good student and always struggled in school. At first, it was hard for me to find the motivation to do well in school because I didn't think it was important or valuable. When my parents divorced, they began telling me how important it was for me to be successful and go to college so that they could retire someday without working so much anymore. This made me realize that getting good grades could help me achieve my dreams of someday becoming successful in life. That's why I decided to start studying harder and trying harder at school so that maybe one day, when I grow up, my parents won't have to work as much anymore!

High schools offer structured and comprehensive learning programs that can provide you with a high-quality education. Roosevelt High School is really special because they have this cool thing called "Success for All," where teachers stay after school to help kids who need it. I really like that because sometimes I need extra help understanding my homework. They're centers for education and learning, and they're also a place for students to socialize and make new friends. When you attend Roosevelt, you get to learn in different ways - sometimes the teacher explains things to everyone, and sometimes we work in small groups, which I think is really fun. They have special classes that help you learn more about things you're interested in, and they even help you get ready for college. I think if I follow the rules, try my best, and make good decisions at Roosevelt, I can do much better in school than I have before.

If you plan to attend college after high school, Roosevelt really helps you get ready for it. What I really like is that they have college prep classes and help with SAT studying. When I visited the school, I saw that they have counselors who help students figure out which colleges would be good for them. A lot of Roosevelt students get into the colleges they want, which makes me feel hopeful. My parents really want me to go to college, and I think Roosevelt can help me get there. The counselors help you understand all the college stuff like applications and finding scholarships, which is super helpful because my parents never went to college, so they don't know how to help me with that stuff.

Extracurricular activities are an essential part of the high school experience. What I really like about Roosevelt is all the different clubs and activities they have after school. I saw they have this really cool robotics club that meets every week, and I've always wanted to learn about building robots! They also have sports teams, and even though I'm not the best at sports, I might try out for the basketball team because the coach seemed really nice when I met him. What's really cool is that Roosevelt has these community service programs where you can help people in our neighborhood. My friend's older sister, who goes to Roosevelt, told me she helped organize a food drive last year, and that sounds like something I'd want to do, too. I think joining these activities will help me make new friends who like the same things I do. Plus, my mom says that colleges like it when you do activities besides just studying, so that's another good reason to join some clubs!

High school is where you really learn how to talk to different people and make friends. At Roosevelt, I already noticed how friendly everyone is - even the older students say hi to you in the hallways! When I went to visit the school with my mom, I saw students working together on projects in the library, and it looked like they were having fun while learning. I'm kind of shy sometimes, but I think at Roosevelt, I could become more confident. They have group projects where you work with other students, which might be scary at first but could help me get better at speaking up. What's cool is that Roosevelt has students from all different backgrounds - some of my friends from middle school are going there, too, but I'll also get to meet new people who might teach me new things about their cultures and lives. The teachers at Roosevelt seem like they really care about helping students work together. In one class I watched during my visit, the teacher had everyone sharing their ideas about a book they read, and even the quiet kids were raising their hands to talk. I want to be in a school like that, where everyone feels comfortable being themselves.

One of the things that makes me excited about Roosevelt is how they help you think about your future career. I'm not totally sure what I want to do when I grow up, but I know Roosevelt can help me figure it out. They have these cool career days where real people come and talk about their jobs. My neighbor who graduated from Roosevelt last year told me that's how she decided she wanted to become a nurse - after listening to a nurse who came to speak at the school. The school also has different programs that let you try out different jobs. Like, if you're interested in computers (which I am!), you can take special computer classes and even learn how to fix them. Or if you like helping people, there are classes about healthcare and working with kids. What's really awesome is that some of the teachers used to work in different jobs before they became teachers, so they can tell you what it's really like to work in those fields. I think going to Roosevelt will help me learn about different careers and figure out what I'm good at. Maybe I'll even discover a job I never knew existed! Plus, they help you get ready for jobs by teaching you important stuff like how to write a resume and how to do well in interviews - things that will be super useful later in life.

After reading my thoughts above, I want to explain exactly why you want to attend this high school - Roosevelt High School. I think that their smaller classes will really help me learn better because teachers will have more time to explain things when I don't understand. When I visited Roosevelt, I saw how the teachers stayed after class to help students who had questions, and I really liked that. The school has many programs that interest me. They have these college prep courses that will help me get ready for college, which is really important to my parents and me. And they have so many fun after-school activities! The computer club caught my eye because I love working with computers, and maybe I could learn how to code there. Their sports teams are also really good - they have football, basketball, baseball, and even soccer. I'm not the best at sports, but I'd like to try out for something! I'm excited to attend Roosevelt High School because I can tell it's a place where I can grow and improve. The teachers I met seemed really nice, and they actually cared about helping students learn. When I walked around the school during my visit, I saw lots of students working together and helping each other, which made me feel like I could fit in there. Plus, the school is closer to my house, which means I could join more after-school activities without it being hard for my mom to pick me up.

To sum up, I really want to attend Roosevelt High School because I believe it's the best place for me to learn and grow. The teachers seem really caring and willing to help students like me who sometimes struggle with their studies. The small classes will give me a better chance to ask questions when I don't understand something. I'm excited about all the different activities they have, from computer club to sports teams, and I can't wait to try new things. Going to Roosevelt would also make things easier for my family, especially my mom since it's closer to our house. This means she wouldn't have to work such long hours just to drive me to and from school. I know my parents want me to go to college someday, and I think Roosevelt can help me get there with their college prep programs and helpful counselors. After visiting the school and learning about everything it offers, I'm more sure than ever that Roosevelt is where I want to be in high school. I promise that if I get accepted, I'll work really hard and try my best to be a good student. I want to make my parents proud and show them that their hard work in giving me a good education is worth it. I really hope I get the chance to be part of the Roosevelt community!
